These black hummingbirds are inspired by Frida Kahlo's iconic 1940 painting 'Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird.'

I laser cut these from wood that I hand-painted and then back with black acrylic. The shading varies slightly since I hand paint them individually. They can be worn either pointing up or down. The wingspan is 5 inches across. Each necklace is painted individually, so very slight variations may occur. These are hung on long, 22-inch cords.
