I cut these acorns from maple then stain them to bring out the grain and add wood acorn caps that I paint with metallic gold. Each acorn is 3/4 inch long and the earrings hang 2 inches from top to bottom.

I use niobium ear wires because niobium is one of the most hypoallergenic and non-reactive metals available (more so than sterling silver, which may contain small amounts of nickel and other reactive metals).

Have plugs? I can convert this earring design to use a hinged steel infinity loop that can slide through a standard tunnel plug. This allows you to use your own tunnels that are comfortable for your ears.
